steP 4 Test fit the tube spacer over the removed OEM footpeg mounting pin.
note The spacer may not be needed in some applications.
steP 5 If the spacer fits over the mounting pin, insert an included spacer in one of the Splined Adapter
Mounts as shown in PIC.1. The spacer is press fit.
steP 6 Thread a #10-32 x 1/2 SSS into the hole in the Adapter mount as shown in PIC.1.
Install flush with the back of the adapter.
note The four “D” Spring Washers have been included to take up excessive
freeplay and add tension for folding pegs in the “up position”. Install the “D”
Spring Washers on either side of the Splined Adapter Mount with the flat of
the “D” facing inboard.
steP 7 Install the Adapter Mount in the footpeg or floorboard mount on the motorcycle
using the hardware removed in STEP 2.
steP 8 Adjust the angle of the adapter mount. Turn the set screw counterclockwise for a high angle
and clockwise for a flatter angle.
steP 9 Install the new footpeg on the Adapter Mount. Refer to the instructions included with the new
footpegs for more information.
ATTENTION! The serrations on the adapter will “bite” into the footpeg. Test fit and fold up the footpeg
before tightening.
ATTENTION! It is the installer’s responsibility to ensure that all of the fasteners (including pre-assembled)
are tightened before operation of the motorcycle. Küryakyn will not warranty components
lost due to improper installation. Periodic maintenance may be required.
steP 10 Repeat STEP 2 through STEP 9 for the other side.
CAUTIO N! Ensure that the installation of this product does not interfere with the proper operation of
the motorcycle before riding.
