Carefully remove the spacer, detent plates, detent spring and detent ball; set the hardware
aside, it will be re-used. See PIC.1
steP 5
Install the spacer and detent spring in the new footpeg adapter; place the detent
ball over the spring and hold it in place with one of the detent plates. See PIC.2. Ensure that
the detent plate is oriented as shown in PIC.1 and PIC.2.

Install the new footpeg adapters and the other detent plate in the footpeg mount;
secure the footpeg adapter assembly with the socket head cap screw and nut from STEP 2.
See PIC.3.

Repeat STEP 2 through STEP 6 for the left side.
note
The two “D” spring washers have been included in the hardware kit for use
when there is excessive space between the adapter and mount. Replace the
detent plate from Step 6 with the “D” spring washer in that instance.

Install the new footpegs. Refer to the instructions included with the new footpegs
for more information.
ATTENTION!
It is the installer’s responsibility to ensure that all of the fasteners (including pre-
assembled) are tightened before operation of the motorcycle. Küryakyn will not
warranty components lost due to improper installation. Periodic maintenance
may be required.
ATTENTION!
Determine the orientation of the footpeg before fully tightening the adjusting
bolt. The footpeg adapter may leave marks in the footpeg when tightened
down.

Adjust the angle of the new footpegs by turning the setscrew (See PIC.4) in or out.
Turn the setscrew in for a flatter angle and out for a steeper angle.

Ensure proper clearance and operation before riding the motorcycle.
