STEP 2
Install the Mini Bullets at the location you choose or on brackets that you supply. The Mini Bullet
uses a 3/8”–16 hollow bolt for mounting as well as a flat washer, and a rubber washer to protect
painted surfaces. Tighten the light securely, but don’t over do it.
It is the installer’s responsibility to ensure that all of the fasteners (including
pre-assembled) are tightened before operation of the motorcycle. Küryakyn will
not provide warranty coverage on products or components lost due to improper
installation or lack of maintenance. Periodic inspection and maintenance are
required on all fasteners.
STEP 3
Route the wires neatly out of harms way.
Secure all wiring away from any moving parts, pinch points or extreme heat.
Küryakyn WILL NOT issue a warranty on any electrical component that fails due to
pinched, crimped, broken, abraded, melted or frayed wires.
WIRING FOR REAR APPLICATIONS:
NOTE:
Because these L.E.D. Mini Bullets light RED in color, they may only be used as additional
LIGHTING on the REAR of motorcycles.
STEP 4
Locate the wire harness that goes to the turn signals or running lights.
STEP 5
Using a test light, or the wiring schematic for your motorcycle: turn the bike “on” and locate the
left and right turn signal power wires, brake light power wire or a “keyed” 12 volt power wire (for
use as running lights-rear only) and a good ground wire (you may also use the frame of most
motorcycles for the ground). Mark these for reference. Turn the bike “off” and disconnect the
battery.
Avoid potential electrical shock! Disconnect the battery before starting
this procedure.
STEP 6 Locate the wire harnesses from the Mini Bullet Light. Determine if you are going to use the Mini
Bullet Lights for turn signals or running lights.
For use as turn signals: splice the VIOLET wire from the left Mini Bullet to the wire marked left
turn from Step 5. Splice the VIOLET wire from the right Mini Bullet to the wire marked right turn
in Step 5. Splice both BLACK wires from the Mini Bullet Lights to the ground wire or ground
location from Step 5.
For use as running lights or brake lights: splice the to VIOLET wires from the Mini Bullets to
the brake light power or a “keyed” 12 volt power wire (for use as running lights-rear only)
marked in Step 5. Splice both BLACK wires to the ground wire or ground location from Step 5.
STEP 7 Connect the battery. Start the motorcycle and test all lights.
ENSURE PROPER LIGHT OPERATION BEFORE RIDING THE MOTORCYCLE.
VISIBILITY IS A MAJOR CONCERN FOR MOTORCYCLISTS. A LIGHT
MALFUNCTION COULD RESULT IN DEATH OR SERIOUS INJURY.
