STEP 3
Test fit the Switch Panel cover to the inner fairing. Make sure you center
the openings in the Cover over the switches or switch blanks on the
panel. PIC 2 Make any reference marks with masking tape or a
non–permanent
marker.
The adhesive will not bond correctly if applied at
temperatures less than 50°F. Do not attempt this
installation in temperatures less than 50°F.
STEP 4
Rub the backing of the adhesive with your fingernail to activate the
adhesive. Remove the backing. Using any reference marks made in
Step 3, attach the Switch Panel Cover to the inner fairing. PIC 3 Press in
place
for
one
minute.
Full
bonding will occur in 24 hours.
NOTE:
If the motorcycle is to be operated before the 24 hour cure time
has expired, use a good quality masking or painter’s tape over the
Switch Panel Cover to assist in holding the Switch Panel Cover in
place
until
the
cure
time
is
over.
STEP 5
If you would like to use one or both of the included Chrome Switch Blank
Covers
(these
WILL NOT BE USED if the motorcycle has switches
installed), wipe the top of the switch blank with the included alcohol pad.
Rub the backing of the adhesive with your fingernail to activate the
adhesive. Remove the backing. Place the Chrome Switch Blank Cover in
the opening in the Dash Cover and press onto the switch blank for one
minute. Full bonding will occur in 24 hours.
