STEP 7
Using the 1/4”-20 x 1" Socket Head Cap Screws, secure the backing plate to the
throttle body/carb as shown in PIC 4. Be sure that the air lock ring is in place
between the backing plate and the throttle body/carb. Tighten the hardware.
STEP 8 Snap the dual velocity ring in place. The ring should be positioned as shown in
PIC 5 with the open hole positioned in the 10 o'clock position.
STEP 9
As shown in PIC 6, connect the formed breather hoses (installed in Step 5) to
the breather bolts installed in Step 2.
STEP 10
Install the air filter to the backing plate. The air filter is a friction fit.
STEP 11 Install the screen mesh inside the Mach 2 cage and hold in place over the air
filter installed in Step 10.
STEP 12
Secure the cage using the chrome 1/4-20 x 3/4" Socket Head Cap Screws. PIC 7
Tighten all hardware.
STEP 13
Check all hose connections and tighten all hardware. Rotate the throttle
open and make sure it returns correctly before starting the motorcycle.
ROTATE THROTTLE AND CHECK THAT IT MOVES FREELY AND
RETURNS TO CLOSED BEFORE STARTING BIKE. FAILURE OF
THE THROTTLE TO RETURN COULD RESULT IN LOSS OF
CONTROL CAUSING SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.
It is the installer’s responsibility to ensure that all of the fasteners
(including pre-assembled) are tightened before operation of the
motorcycle. Küryakyn will not provide warranty coverage on
products or components lost due to improper installation or lack of
maintenance. Periodic inspection and maintenance are required on all fasteners.
