OVERLOAD DETECTION
10APF fuse circuit monitors the load continually. As soon as the threshold
of 10A is reached, it trips. The turn signal bulbs will remain off but the blue
STATUS LED will flash rapidly if the turn signals are activated during this
‘Tripped Mode’.
Overload detection is instantaneous and
accurate to prevent any accidental damage
due to a short-circuit from pinched or cut
wires. Once tripped, the unit will remain in
‘Tripped Mode’- RESET procedure is shown
below.
DANGER OF HAVING NO TURN SIGNALS! Do not over-load this unit.
Short-circuit protection shuts it down – LIKE A BLOWN FUSE!
RESET PROCEDURE
n
Determine the cause of over-load.
o
If more than typical (4) turn signal bulbs are connected and
maximum of 10A current limit was exceeded, remove the extra load.
p
If you found pinched or cut or exposed or otherwise damaged
wiring, repair it appropriately.
q
Turn the ignition key on. Then activate the turn signals (4) times –
once every second.
r
If the over load condition is no longer present, 10APF Fuse will
allow normal function properly.
