11) Restoring FACTORY SETTINGS
This function can be used to restore the default settings:
Call mode
⇒ Simplebus standard Language ⇒ Italian (default)
Language 2 ⇒ deactivated Name only ⇒ deactivated
Screensaver ⇒ deactivated Welcome message ⇒ deleted
Download ⇒ RS232 Address485 ⇒ 0
12) Setting the OPERATING MODE
12.1) Setting the TYPE OF SYSTEM
12.1A) Simplebus: for systems WITHOUT switching devices Art. 1424 in TOP 1, 2, 3
mode (see FT SB 21, page 7) which define the system “zones”.
12.1B) Simplebus Top: for systems WITH switching devices Art. 1424 in TOP 1, 2, 3
mode (see FT SB 21, page 7) which define the system “zones”.
Module Art. 3342 in Simplebus TOP mode must be used in conjunction with compatible
products (see table of “Simplebus Top products”, page 59).
CAUTION: for correct operation depending on the type of Simplebus or Simplebus Top
system installed, make sure the audio or audio/video module (Art. 4660C, Art. 4660 or
Art. 1602) is also set to the same mode.
Proceed as follows:
1 set the audio or audio/video keystone jack to programming mode (switch in (red)
position, see Fig. 1A);
Press the key to
confirm the selection.
A screen will appear,
displaying the keys to be
used for message
management.
Select the
WELCOME MESSAGE
menu.
= to move the cursor
around the display.
X= to delete a character.
= to confirm entry of the
welcome message.
= to exit the menu
without saving the message
entered.
Enter the message.
To confirm entry of the
welcome message, press

To exit the menu without
saving the message
entered, press

DEACTIVATING the “WELCOME MESSAGE” function
If you wish to cancel the welcome message altogether, delete all the message characters
using the X key. To confirm cancellation of the welcome message, press . To exit the
menu without saving the message cancellation, press .
