The EDX12D subwoofer you purchased is a high performance driver and was specifically engineered
R 1 - TPR/Santoprene injection molded parabolic surround. Due to its special profile, this
surround combines high linear travel with large piston area, leading to high bass
output and low distortion.
2 - Injection molded PMGS-CF Poly/Mica/Carbon Fiber bumped cone with high
stiffness to mass ratio, for clean, deep and extremely well defined bass.
3 - Extra large double CONEX spider, with built in tinsel leads, efficiently controls
voice coil travel for high bass output and long term mechanical stability.
4 - High temp 500°F dual voice coil on Fiberglass former for high SPL, low
distortion and extreme power handling.
5 - Gold plated terminals for maximum power transfer from your amplifier.
6 - FEA (Finite Element Analysis) computer optimized magnet design guarantees high
SPL with low distortion.
7 - Massive CNC machined cast polar plates with cooling fins provide effective heat removal
from voice coil, for high power handling.
8 - Heavy duty aluminum cast frame provides perfect and accurate alignment of motor components.
