5. Remove the three bolts in the bushing (shown below). Screw these three bolts into
the threaded holes that had been previously unused. Tighten the bolts an equal
amount until the bushing and sheave loosen and can be removed.
6. Loosen the set screw in bushing.
7. Remove the spacer, spindle and blades as shown below. Discard.
8. Replace with new spacer, spindle and blades. Assemble by inserting spindle into
cutter head and fastening with 1/2 X 3/4" bolt and washer. (See Figure 1.) Torque
bolt to 70 ft. lbs.
9. Replace bushing and sheave.
10. Insert bolts back into the non-threaded holes in the bushing and thread into sheave
before tightening evenly. Torque to 108 inch/lbs, making sure that the two pulleys are
alligned to ± 1/16 inch.
11. Tighten the belt by adjusting the motor position so there is a 1/32" gap between the
coils of the spring. Once the 1/32" gap is achieved, tighten down nut shown in step
4 tighten the engine mounting bolts shown in step 3.
