4. Place depth gauge tool (B) firmly on top of cutter with 0.635
mm (0.025 in.) slot and end against front cutter raker. File
cutter raker with flat file until flush with top of depth gauge..
5. Finish cutter sharpening by rounding front raker edge (C)
with flat file
6. Properly filed cutter is as shown.
7. Apply clean oil and rotate saw chain slowly to wash away
filings.
8. If saw chain is coated or clogged with resin, clean in
kerosene, then soak in oil.
