4.13 AUXILIARY POWER
WHEN OPERATING ON AUXILIARY POWER, DO NOT OPERATE MORE THAN ONE FUNC-
TION AT A TIME. (SIMULTANEOUS OPERATION CAN OVERLOAD THE 12-VOLT AUXIL-
IARY PUMP MOTOR.)
A toggle type auxiliary power control switch is located on the
platform control station and another is located on the ground
control station. Operation of either switch turns on the electri-
cally driven auxiliary hydraulic pump. This should be used in case
of failure of the main power plant. The auxiliary pump will oper-
ate boom lift, telescope and swing. To activate auxiliary power:
Activating from the Platform Control Station
1. Position Platform/Ground Select Key Switch to
Platform.
2. Position Power/Emergency Stop switch to On.
3. Depress and hold footswitch.
4. Position Auxiliary Power switch to On and
hold.
5. Operate appropriate control switch, lever or controller for
desired function and hold.
6. Release Auxiliary Power switch, selected control switch, lever
or controller, and footswitch.
7. Position Power/Emergency Stop switch to Off.
Activating from the Ground Control Station
1. Position Platform/Ground Select Key Switch to
Ground.
2. Position Power/Emergency Stop switch to On.
3. Position Auxiliary Power switch to On and
hold.
