1. Perform “Shut-Down Procedure” on page 4-4.
2. Remove the battery compartment cover (2).
3. Wearing eye protection, visually inspect the batteries (1). Check terminals for
corrosion. Replace battery if it has a cracked, melted or damaged case.
4. Replace and secure the battery compartment cover.
5. Open the engine cover.
6. Check battery jumper post (3) for corrosion.
7. Close and secure the engine cover.
