PC communication
PC communication functionality is an option designed for advanced users.
The instrument can communicate with a PC when the “LIGHT” button 2 is
pressed. It is possible to complete the following tasks:
• Assign the instrument to a specific user;
• Store the time when the instrument was received and returned back;
• Read out the information from the instrument memory, including the
history of its operation: number of the instrument; time of its turning
ON/OFF; current values of the dose rate in data storage intervals
preset by the user; count time in the search mode; the time and
readings of the instrument when the alarm threshold was exceeded;
preset dose rate threshold.
• Check and/or set the instrument parameters;
• Turn ON/OFF the audible or vibration alarm;
• Enable/disable changing threshold using the buttons;
• Enable/disable changing (status ON/OFF) alarms using the buttons;
• Check and correct current date and time if necessary;
• Set a value of successive time intervals in which the current values of
dose rate are stored in the non-volatile memory of the instrument;
• Set a password to access the parameters menu;
• Set the dose rate threshold at which the instrument produces either
audible or vibration signal.
