• DSPC does not work during a
Record Link.
• DSPC makes its adjustments before
a timer recording begins.
• Since DSPC makes its adjustments
before recording actually starts,
there is a brief delay after the
REC(ord)/OTR button is pressed. To
begin recording immediately, set
DSPC to OFF.
• If you stop or pause recording or
playback, DSPC will not appear on
the display panel when you resume
recording or playback. DSPC will
appear on the display panel only
immediately after you insert a tape
and begin recording or playback.

Press the MENU button.
If DSPC is ON, the DSPC will work for both playback and record-
ing.
• For recording, DSPC will appear briefly on the display panel
when you start a recording.
• For playback, DSPC will appear briefly on the display panel at
the beginning of playback. The VCR will adjust the picture quality
based on the condition of the tape in use.
The Digital Studio Picture Control (DSPC) checks the condition of
the tape during recording and playback, then makes adjustments
to provide the highest possible picture quality.
To set DSPC to ON or OFF, follow these steps.

Press the VCR button, then press the MENU button.

Press the PLAY 8 or STOP 9 button to select VCR SET
UP, then press the OK/STATUS button.

appears beside DSPC.
