Solution
The appliance
leaves water
traces on the
floor.
You have moved the
appliance sideways.
Only move the appliance forwards and backwards
(see chapter ‘Important’, section ‘Usage
restrictions’).
You have moved the
appliance across a
threshold while it was
switched on.
Make sure that the mopping brushes stay in
contact with the floor. Switch off the appliance
before you pull it over a threshold to prevent
water traces on the floor or to prevent water
from splashing from the mopping nozzle.
You have moved the
appliance with its nozzle
touching the floor while
it was switched off.
If you want to avoid water traces on the floor,
move the appliance by carrying it by its carrying
handle or by tilting it so that it rests on its wheels
for easy transport.
You lifted the appliance
up from the floor
immediately after you
switched it off.
After you switch off the appliance, move it
forwards and backwards a few times to remove
the liquid that is present between the two
mopping brushes. If you fail to do this, the
appliance leaves a trace of water on the floor
when you lift it up.
The wheels are blocked. Check the condition of the wheels. Remove the
dirt that blocks the wheels.
The mopping brushes
are worn.
Replace the mopping brushes.
The appliance
switched off and
the red mopping
brushes light
lights up
continuously.
The active protection
system may have been
activated for three
reasons: (1) the
appliance picked up a
foreign object, (2) the
mopping brushes are
too wet or (3) you have
moved the appliance
over a carpet or a rug.
Release the power-on button to switch off the
appliance. Put the appliance upright in parking
position (‘click’) and pull the plug out of the wall
socket. Open the mopping nozzle lid, remove the
mopping brush cover and remove the object.
Reinsert the mopping brush cover, close the
mopping nozzle lid, put the plug in the wall socket
and switch on the appliance again. If you find no
object, the active protection system may have
been activated because the mopping brushes are
too wet (see next cause and solution) or because
you moved the appliance over a carpet or a rug.
Pull the plug out of the wall socket, open and
close the mopping nozzle lid, put the plug in the
wall socket again, switch on the appliance and
start cleaning again.
I have just filled
the clean water
tank, but the blue
tank full/tank
empty light keeps
flashing when I
switch on the
appliance.
The blue tank full/tank
empty light may flash a
few times when you
switch on the appliance
after you have filled the
clean water tank.
This happens because it takes a few seconds for
the water to reach the mopping nozzle. Release
the power-on button. Then press the power-on
button to switch on the appliance again.
