Components Lifetime The R 996 B is equipped with an automatic central lu-
brication system for the entire attachment and swing
ring. All greasing points are suitably protected against
external damages. This extends component life and en-
sures constant performance over the excavators’ op-
erational life.
Rugged Undercarriage
Structure The R 996 B is mounted on a heavy duty 3-piece fatigue
resistant undercarriage steel structure. This design pro-
vides better weight distribution of the superstructure and
reduces ground bearing pressure. Designed and built for
both shovel and backhoe confi gurations, the R 996 B pro-
vides the necessary stability and reliability.
