Solution

The comparitively low operating weight, excellent balance,
stability, high tipping weight and phenominal gradient capabili-
ties of the L 586 are the result of the best possible component
installation arrangement designed into the machine, which also
means that no extra counterweights are required. This is sup-
ported by the permanent all-wheel drive and the automatically
engaging self-locking differential. The stepless travel drive of
the L 586 operates without any interruption in traction, and the
manual traction power regulation prevents any uncontrolled
wheel spin. Depending on use, this also achieves reduction in
tyre wear by up to 25 %.

Even at low engine speeds, the hydrostatic drive produces
enormous thrust and lifting power, which means that,
under the same operating conditions, in comparison with
conventional wheel loaders with converter drive, up to
5 litres less fuel is consumed per operating hour. This in
turn not only reduces the operating costs, but also cuts
pollution emission. The combustion of one litre of Diesel
releases up to 3 kilograms of CO

special equipment features of the L 586 include a central
lubrication system, joystick steering, and a protective grille
for the front window. The wheel loader also has a reversing
camera, a sliding window for the cab door, and a Top-Air
pre-separator, which provides preliminary purification for the
engine suction intake air. The Liebherr L 586 wheel loader
has also been equipped with a High-Lift lifting system and a
specially designed rock bucket with teeth.
