Situation
“Progress is built on ideas”: this is the motto that this family
business, based in Sengenthal in Upper Palatinate and
founded in 1929 by Max Bögl Snr. under the same name, uses
to advertise its high-quality, innovative construction services.
The company has around 6,000 highly qualified employees,
who operate in areas ranging from classic structural and
civil engineering, road construction, underground engineering
and canal construction through to specialist areas such as
tunnel construction and specialist underground engineering.
Another important area of operations for the company is
the construction of wind power plants and wind farms.
Max Bögl Bauservice GmbH & Co. KG is a global company.
It is without doubt best known for its work in the area of
infrastructure construction, such as building and redeveloping
motorways or constructing new railway lines. Max Bögl offers
every type of service, from heavy earthmoving with subsequent
construction of the superstructure, tunnel construction and
construction of enormous bridge structures to the construction
of pre-cast concrete parts and the transportation of virtually all
goods required at construction sites.
Task
Certainly, one of its most exciting areas of work is specialist
underground engineering. Not only are there impressively
large and heavy machines at work, but drivers may also be
the first ever to see or set foot on an area of land. Large-scale
pile drivers are used to drive sheet piling into the ground with
tremendous force, while extremely deep holes are drilled with
large-diameter rotary drilling rigs to produce bored piles. Huge
cable excavators dig slotted walls or mill them at any depth into
the ground. These different construction methods are generally
secured by drilling and fitting anchors. All of these measures
ultimately serve the building pit support system as part of
which wheel loaders must be used, as they are able to execute
a wide range of different tasks. The wheel loaders are used
to prepare the sites for heavy construction machines. They
are also used for reloading the drilling debris from the drilling
equipment and working with the pallet fork. Wheel loaders
unload, transport and place in position reinforcement cages,
timber piling, containers, pipes, squared timber and pallets
as well as every imaginable type of construction material,
machinery and equipment.
