Minus Sign (see figure 42)
The left side of the display includes the minus sign icon “-“. Any
time the digital carriage is moved to the left of the”0” setting, the
“-“(minus sign) will appear.
Battery Icon (see figure 42)
The display includes a battery icon to indicate the battery life
condition. The icon has 3 internal bars and an outline.

Connecting Digital Carriage
To Rip Fence
(see figure 37)
The digital carriage
1 can be magnetically connected to the
either side of the rip fence
9 or to the parking plate 10.
Connecting for rip cuts on right side:
Slide digital carriage
1 to the left side of blade - Place the fence
9 to the right of the blade and slide the digital carriage 1 until its
right magnet
6 contacts the fence’s left connector plate 8.
Connecting the digital carriage to the left of the rip fence
increases the saws right side cutting capacity.
Connecting for rip cuts on left side:
Slide digital carriage
1 to the right side of blade - Place the fence
9 to the left of the blade and slide the digital carriage 1 until its
left magnet
6 (not shown) contacts the fence’s right connector
plate
8 (not shown). Connecting the digital carriage to the right of
the rip fence increases the saws left side cutting capacity.
Parking digital carriage:
When not making rip cuts, it is recommended that the digital
carriage
1 is placed in the “parking position”. Slide the carriage 1
to the extreme left so its left magnet
6 (not shown) contacts the
parking plate
10.
Disconnecting fence from carriage:
Release the fence lock handle
11 and lift the front of the fence 9.
The fence’s connector plate
8 will easily slide off the carriage’s
magnet
