Undo the two screws.
Remove the bottom part of the handle and cut the two wires that
connect the bottom part to the appliance.
Pull the battery connectors off the battery terminals.

Shake the rechargeable batteries out of the appliance.

Cut the two wires that connect the rechargeable batteries to the
appliance.
