Firmware Update
You can update this unit’s firmware via Safari or Microsoft
Internet Explorer 8/9. Download the latest firmware for your
computer from the Pioneer website. The downloaded file will
be compressed in the ZIP format, and must be decompressed
before it can be used.
Note
• Connect the AC adapter when using the XW-SMA3 (this
operation cannot be performed using battery power).
• When updating the firmware, it is necessary to connect
the unit to a network by following the procedure (except
method F). See Network setting on page 18.
1 Access the Web Control.
See Web Control on page 26.
2 Click Firmware Update.
3 Press Start.
The Firmware Update Prepare screen is displayed. If the
screen does not switch automatically, click
Click here.
4 Confirm the location of the newest firmware
(a), then press the Upload button (b).
The confirmation screen is displayed. If you continue the
firmware update, press
Yes. Once the firmware update
process starts, you can’t stop it.
5 The firmware upload status screen is
displayed.
When the update is completed, unplug the power cord from
its AC outlet as instructed in the display.
Important
• Never disconnect the AC power while updating is
underway.
