Formatting the Recorder [Format]
If you format the recorder, all files will be removed
and all function settings will return to defaults
except date and time settings. Transfer any
important files to a computer before formatting
the recorder.

While the recorder is during stop
mode, press the MENU button.
• The menu will appear on the display. You
can also change to [Memory Menu] screen
by using the settings tab ( ☞ P.34).

Press the 2 or 3 button to select
[ Format].
[Format] will appear
on the display

Press the `/OK or 9 button.
[Cancel] will appear
on the display

Press the 2 or 3 button to select the
recording media to format.
• When formatting an SD Card, cancel the
write protection function before inserting
the card into the recorder ( ☞ P.15).

Press the `/OK button.

Press the `/OK button.

Press the 2 button again to select
[ Start].

Press the 2 button to select [Start].
• After the [Data Will Be Cleared] message
is on for two seconds, [Cancel] will turn
on.
