Many proprietary kitchen surface cleaners contain chemicals that can attack/damage the
plastics used in this appliance. For this reason it is recommended that the outer casing of
this appliance is only cleaned with warm water with a little washing-up liquid added.
After cleaning, reconnect the equipment to the mains supply.
Replacing the carbon filter
The carbon filter helps to reduce the odours inside the fridge limiting the risk of unwan-
ted aroma in sensitive food
To get the best performance the carbon filter should be changed once every year.
New active air filters can be purchased from your local dealer.
• The air filter is placed behind the flap and
can be reached by pulling the flap outward

• pull out of the slot the exhausted air filter.
• insert the new air filter in the slot (2)
• close the flap.
The air filter is a consumable accessory and as such is not covered by the guarantee.
During the operation, always keep the air ventilation flap closed.
The air filter should be handled carefully to prevent its surface from being scratched.
Defrosting of the refrigerator
Defrosting of the fridge compartment is automatic.
The water that forms flows into a recipient on the compressor and evaporates. This recip-
ient cannot be removed.
Periods of non-operation
When the appliance is not in use for long periods, take the following precautions:
•
disconnect the appliance from electricity supply
• remove all food
• defrost

• leave the door/doors ajar to prevent unpleasant smells.
