This chapter contains a list of terms used in the User Guide. Each term has a
corresponding definition that reflects the meaning of the term as it is used in this Guide.
Terms Defined
Use the following definitions to learn more about the meanings of terms used in this
Guide.
A3 420 × 297 mm paper.
A4 297 × 210 mm paper.
A5 210 × 148 mm paper.
Activity Report A report that contains information about jobs sent and
received.
Address Book A list of telephone numbers stored in the machine for easy
reference.
ADF An abbreviation of Automatic Document Feeder.
APS Auto Paper Selection, which selects automatically an
appropriate paper tray depending on the specified document
size, orientation, or amount of reduction or enlargement.
Auditron A tracking system that is built into the machine. You can use
Auditron to track overall machine usage, individual usage and
usage of each feature separately.
Auto Answer Mode A fax mode where the machine is programmed to
automatically answer calls.
Auto Clear The machine goes to the standby mode if there is no activity
for a specified time.
