Taking pictures using the AF lock
For special situations where AF may not work (
1 Set the AE/AF Lock button to AF.
2 Place the Framing marks on the main subject.
3 Press the AE/AF Lock button.
4 Recompose the picture and press the Shutter button halfway to lock the
exposure position.
5 Press the Shutter button completely down to take the picture.
NOTE: The AF lock function lets you release the Shutter button to recompose the picture.
Using the program button
You can program this button in Capture and Review. The button is a shortcut to your
favorite settings. For example, if you frequently adjust the White balance settings, you
can program this button to bring up the White balance sub-menu—no need to access
the menu to search for it. The Program button may be unavailable in some modes.

Press OK or Set.
In Capture or Review, press
Program to bring up a sub-menu.
(Press again to exit.)
