When VAS (Voice Activated System) is set, if silence continues for approx. 2 seconds during recording,
the recording is paused automatically.

For important recording, set the VAS setting to “
”.
●
Using the LOW CUT FILTER will cut low frequency sound and VAS recording may not be
performed properly. In this case, cancel the LOW CUT FILTER setting. (

If [* REC] is pressed while VAS recording is being paused, the unit will enter normal recording
pause state and only “VAS” will light up.
Preventing unnecessary recording (VAS)
• When the unit is not in the stop state, press
[g STOP/RETURN].

Press u, i to select “VAS” and
press [q OK].

[q OK].

To exit the setting screen, press
[g STOP/RETURN].
“VAS” is displayed.
To start VAS recording, press [* REC].
If silence continues for approx. 2 seconds during
VAS recording, the recording is paused. Then,
the recording indicator, “VAS” and “*” will blink.
Adjusting the VAS operation level:
Press u, i during VAS recording.

You can adjust the sound detection level from
1 to 5.

If the sound to record is low, increase the VAS
value (sensitivity level). If the sound is loud,
decrease the VAS value.
