Notes on using SonicStage Simple Burner
z For Windows XP users: If installation was unsuccessful
Close the Windows Messenger before you start the
installation.
Right-click the icon and select [Exit].
z When using CD-RWs
• Before use, format the CD-RW using the application software supplied with your CD-RW drive.
Do not use the quick erase function. Use the complete erase function.
• When you use a CD-RW formatted as the Direct CD, re-format the disc before using it.
z On writing speed
• When you use a CD-RW classified as High Speed (4X–12X) or Ultra Speed (4X–24X), you need a
CD-R/RW drive compatible with High Speed or Ultra Speed CD-RWs. If you use a High Speed or
Ultra Speed CD-RW with a drive which is not compatible with these types of CD-RWs, you may
not record audio sources on the CD-RW properly using SonicStage Simple Burner.
To check to see if your CD-R/RW drive is compatible with High Speed or Ultra Speed CD-RWs,
refer to the operation manual supplied with the drive.
• The writing speed will vary depending on the CD-R/RW drive and the disc being used. The
options may sometimes be different from the actual writing speed of the drive and disc.
z If SonicStage Simple Burner does not run properly
SonicStage Simple Burner may not run properly if virus-check software, Direct CD, or other CD-R/
RW writing software is running.
Before launching SonicStage Simple Burner, close any virus-check software, Direct CD, or other
CD-R/RW writing software that may be running.
z If SonicStage Simple Burner does not recognize a CD-R/RW inserted in your drive
Insert the disc again.
z For Windows Millennium Edition/Windows 98 Second Edition users: If SonicStage
Simple Burner does not recognize an audio CD or an ATRAC CD inserted in your
drive
Check to see if “Auto insert notification” is set to OFF on your computer. If it is, set it to ON.
z Getting CD information from the CDDB R
CD information may not be available depending on from where you access, and when you access the
CDDB, etc.

z Si utiliza discos CD-RW
• Antes de utilizar un disco CD-RW, formatéelo mediante el software de aplicación suministrado
con la unidad de CD-RW. No utilice la función de borrado rápido, sino la de borrado completo.
• Asimismo, si utiliza un disco CD-RW formateado como Direct CD, formatéelo de nuevo antes de
utilizarlo.
z Sobre la velocidad de grabación
• Si utiliza un disco CD-RW clasificado como High Speed (4X–12X) o Ultra Speed (4X–24X),
necesitará una unidad de CD-R/RW compatible con este tipo de discos. Si inserta un disco CD-
RW High Speed o Ultra Speed en una unidad que no sea compatible con este tipo de discos, es
posible que no pueda grabar fuentes de audio en la unidad de CD-RW correctamente mediante el
software SonicStage Simple Burner.
Para comprobar si la unidad de CD-R/RW es compatible con discos CD-RW High Speed o Ultra
Speed, consulte el manual de instrucciones suministrado con la misma.
• La velocidad de grabación variará en función de la unidad de CD-R/RW y del tipo de disco que
utilice. Es posible que las opciones varíen respecto a la velocidad de grabación real de la unidad y
del disco.
z Si SonicStage Simple Burner no se ejecuta correctamente
Es posible que SonicStage Simple Burner no funcione correctamente si se ejecuta un software
antivirus, Direct CD u otro software de grabación de discos CD-R/RW.
Antes de iniciar SonicStage Simple Burner, cierre las aplicaciones de dicho tipo que estén abiertas.
z Si SonicStage Simple Burner no reconoce un disco CD-R/RW insertado en la
unidad
Inserte el disco de nuevo.
z Para los usuarios de Windows Millennium Edition/Windows 98 Second Edition:
Si SonicStage Simple Burner no reconoce un CD de audio o un CD de ATRAC
insertado en la unidad
Compruebe si la opción “Auto insert notification” (Notificar la inserción automáticamente) está
desactivada en el ordenador. Si es así, actívela.
z Obtener información de discos compactos de la CDDB ®
Es posible que la información de discos compactos no se encuentre disponible en función del área
desde donde acceda a la CDDB, de cuándo acceda a la misma, etc.
