Camera maintenance
Precautions when using USB
• Only connect the camera to an authentic computer or
a manufacturer-recommended charger via USB. Do not
connect forcibly if the connecting part does not fit. Doing
so may cause breakage.
• Do not touch the USB cable or the cable connection
area with wet hands. Doing so may cause electric shock.
• If the USB cable generates heat, noise or odor while
sending data or charging the camera, disconnect it
immediately since it may cause fire or injury. Contact a
Samsung Service Center.
• Do not modify the USB cable arbitrarily. Doing so may
cause fire or electric shock.
• Do not place any heavy objects on the USB cable. Doing
so may cut the USB cable or cause poor contact.
• Do not disassemble or puncture the battery with any
sharp object.
• Avoid exposing the battery to high pressure or crushing
forces.
• Avoid exposing the battery to major impacts, such as
dropping it from high places.
• Do not expose the battery to temperatures of 60 °C
(140° F) or above.
• Do not allow the battery to come in contact with moisture
or liquids.
• Do not expose the battery to direct sunlight, fire, or any
other source of excessive heat.
Disposal guidelines
• Dispose of the battery with care.
• Do not dispose of the battery in a fire.
• Disposal regulations may differ by country or region.
Dispose of the battery in accordance with all local and
federal regulations.
Guidelines for charging the battery
Charge the battery only by the method described in this
user manual. The battery can ignite or explode if not
charged properly.
