Place a disc in the tray, with the label facing up.
Make sure the disc is lying flat in the tray and is seated firmly on the spindle.
Note: CD-ROM and DVD-ROM drives have small locks on the drive spindle that securely hold
the disc in place. When inserting a disc over these locks, you may need to apply additional
pressure. Place the hole in the center of the disc directly over the drive spindle and press
down until you feel the disc lock into place.

Push the tray in to close it.

When the icon for the CD or DVD disc appears on the screen, the disc is ready for use.
Certain discs such as audio CDs automatically start when you insert them into your
PowerBook. Others require that you install the software from the CD onto the hard disk first.
See the instructions that came with the disc for more information.
