GUIDELINES CONCERNING SAFE USE
RECOMMENDATIONS::
1. Check if the voltage value provided on the rating plate corresponds to the local
electric supply parameters.
2. Uncoil and straighten the electric supply cable before the installation.
3. This equipment is not to be used by persons (to include children) with limited physical,
sensory, or mental capacities, unless they do so under supervision or in accordance
with the equipment use instructions given to them by persons who are responsible
for their safety.
Children must be prevented from playing with the ventilation hood.
CAUTION:
1. The kitchen ventilation hood, which serves the purpose of extracting kitchen va-
pors to the outside of a room (working in an exhaust mode) must be connected to
a proper ventilation channel (it must not be connected to chimney ducts, smoke,
and combustion gas ducts which are used).
2. The equipment must be mounted at the height of at least 650 m above the work
plate of the stove. The hood works the most effectively at the height of 650 mm to
750 mm.
3. An open flame must not be left under the kitchen ventilation hood.
4. Dishes that are fried on fats should be constantly monitored as overheated fat can
easily be become ignited.
5. The fat filter of the kitchen ventilation hood must be replaced every 2 months. A
filter that contains too much fat in flammable.
6. The equipment should be unplugged from the power outlet before replacing the
filter or repairing the ventilation hood.
7. If other equipment with non-electric power supply (such as liquid fuel stoves, flow
heaters, or water heaters) is used in the same room in addition to the ventilation
hood, then proper ventilation (supply of air) of the room should be assured. Safe
usage is possible when, the maximum negative pressure in the room where the
ventilation hood and other equipment using air in the combustion process are
located, during the simultaneous operation of the ventilation hood and that equ-
ipment, does not exceed 0.004 milibars (this provision does not apply when the
kitchen ventilation hood is used to absorb scents).
8. When connecting the ventilation hood to a 230 V power supply network, it must be
connected to an electric outlet which is in good condition.
9. The ventilation hood should not be used as a support platform for persons present
in the kitchen.
10. The ventilation hood should be cleaned frequently, both on the outside and inside
(AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH), in accordance with the maintenance instructions
provided in this manual. Failure to observe the principles concerning cleaning of
the ventilation hood and changing filters will lead to a fire hazard.
The manufacturer shall not be held responsible for any possible damage or fires
caused by the equipment due to the failure to observe the instructions provided in
this manual.
