Set Up
Wheel & Handle Assembly
Note: All fasteners can be tightened as each
procedure is completed. There is no need to
wait until assembly is complete to tighten the
fasteners.
1. Using 2 M8x20 bolts and 2 M8 nuts, attach the
2 rubber feet to the front support.
2. Using 4 M8x20 bolts and 4 M8 nuts, attach the
front support to the lower cross beam by lining
up the 4 holes in the fronts support with the 4
holes in the cross beam. It may be easier to at-
tach the front support by carefully tipping the
generator on its end.
NOTE: Do not tip the generator on its end if
you have already put gas or oil into the unit.
3. Insert the axles into the axle support sleeves on
the lower frame. Make sure the holes in the
axle lines up with the hole in the support.
4. Insert cotter pins through the holes and bend
one leg to secure the pin.
5. Slide wheels over the axles making sure the
long side of the hub is facing in toward the
frame.
6. Slide washers over the axles and against wheel
hub.
7. Insert cotter pins through holes and bend one
leg to secure the pin.
8. Using 2 M8x50 bolts and 2 M8 nuts attach the
handle pivot bracket to the upper cross bar by
lining up the holes in the brackets with the
holes in the cross bar.
9. Attach the handle catch to the middle cross bar
using the M6x60 bolt and M6 nut by lining up
the hole in the catch with the hole in the cross
bar.
10. Using the M8x58 bolt and a M8 nut attach the
handle to the handle pivot bracket by sliding
the bolt through the holes in the bracket and
handle and tightening.
Engine Preparation
Engine Oil
NOTE: Engine oil is a major factor affecting
the performance and service life of this genera-
tor. Non-detergent and 2-stroke engine oils
WILL damage the engine and are not recom-
mended.
1. Use 4 stroke oil, or an equivalent high deter-
gent, premium quality motor oil certified to
meet or exceed U.S. automobile manufactur-
er’s requirements for Service Classification
SG, SF/CC, CD. This designation will be on
the motor oil container.
2. SAE 10W-30 is recommended for general, all-
temperature use. See chart for appropriate
weights for your area.
3. Locate the oil filler cap and remove.
Battery Connection
1. Remove battery cover. Battery will be bracket-
ed down.
2. Remove bracket to be able to move the battery.
3. Connect the positive battery cable + (red) to
the positive battery terminal.
4. Connect the negative battery cable - (black) to
the negative battery terminal.
5. Reposition the battery and replace the battery
bracket.
WARNING
A battery can explode if you do not follow
the correct procedures.
Battery posts, terminals and related accesso-
ries contain lead and lead compounds. Wash
hands thoroughly after handling.
