BATTERY STORAGE CENTER
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
(90347)
Mounting
The Battery Storage Center may be mounted to a wall (mounting hardware not
included) using the three mounting holes at the top of the Storage Center (see
illustration).
At least one mounting screw MUST be screwed into a wall stud and the other
screws should utilize heavy-duty wall anchors to prevent the Storage Center
from falling off the wall when fully loaded.
Battery Tester
The included battery tester will test all common 1.5 volt and 9 volt batteries. It
will NOT test rechargeable batteries or batteries rated at voltages other than
1.5V and 9V.
To test batteries, remove the tester from the Storage Center. Lift the hinged
contact arm and place the battery so that the negative end is in contact with
the terminal on the body of the tester, and the positive end is in contact with
the terminal on the end of the hinged arm (see illustration). Read the battery
condition from the meter. To test 9 volt batteries, touch the terminals of the 9
volt battery to the terminals on the side of the tester being sure to line up the
small terminals and the large terminals.
Flashlight
Install batteries in the included flashlight by unscrewing the end with the on/off
button and removing the battery carrier. Insert three AA alkaline batteries into
the carrier making sure that the negative end of each battery rests against the
spring in each battery slot (see illustration). Insert the battery carrier back into
the flashlight in the direction of the arrows on the outside of the carrier and
screw on the end cap.
To turn the flashlight on and off, press the rubberized switch on the end of the
flashlight.
Emergency USB Charger
The included Emergency USB Charger can be used to charge a cellphone
or smartphone during power outages or at other times when an AC outlet is
not available. The charger is powered by four AA batteries which must be
installed prior to use.
To install the batteries, open the battery door on the back of the charger.
Insert four AA alkaline batteries with their negative ends resting against the
springs in each battery slot (see illustration). Replace the battery door.
To use the Emergency USB Charger, insert the appropriate charging cable
for your phone into the USB port on the front of the charger. Please note that
some phones that use USB charging cords are not compatible with standard
USB charging ports. A standard USB to micro-USB cable is included which
will charge many common phones but your phone may require a different type
charging cable which is not included. Connect the other end of the charging
cable to your phone and switch the ON/OFF switch on the front of the charger
to the ON position. The green LED will illuminate and the phone will start
charging.
Be sure to switch the ON/OFF switch to the OFF position when finished
charging to conserve the batteries in the charger.

INSTRUCCIONES DE OPERACIÓN DEL
CENTRO DE ALMACENAMIENTO DE PILAS
(90347)
Montaje
