5. Installing TeleNav on Your Palm Trēo™ 650

TeleNav can be installed on your handset two different ways: 1) by loading the application from a distribution CD
using the palmOne Quick Install application, or 2) by using the Palm Trēo™ 650 browser and downloading the
application directly to your handset over the air (OTA).

Installation Instructions

Using the CD to install

NOTE: Customers must have the Palm Desktop software installed and the handset connected to their personal
computer (PC) before completing the steps below.

1. Insert the TeleNav application CD into your CD or DVD drive.

2. Browse the CD and open the Palm Treo

folder then select the PRC file.

3. After selecting the file, the palmOne Quick Install application will launch automatically. Click OK to continue.

Locate the Hotsync feature on the Palm handset menu, or
press the button located on the sync cable, and let the sync
complete.

5. Verify that the TeleNav application icon is

now available on the Palm handset
menu.
