3. Now fit the backing plate t
o the firewall, mark and drill holes for the 3/8” bolts.
*Note that the shorter bracket goes on the passenger side, and the taller
bracket goes on the driver’s side.
4. Trim the down tube so that it fits snug between the upper and lower brackets.
Tack weld in place. Remove the assembly and weld around the joint at each
end. Paint or coat with your choice of materials and reinstall into vehicle.
Once assembled, the bar can be easily unbolted for access to the engine bay
servicing.
