1. To select volumes for the partition, click on the name of the volume
from the Volume Name field. Select as many volumes as there are new
partitions, and click OK.
2. The Select Volumes window closes and the Add Partition window is
displayed again.
Partition names are assigned based on the selected volume and the name of
the table. The partition names are displayed in the partition pane. This
pane also shows the default catalog to which each catalog belongs, and
the name of the primary-key columns in the table.
Assign Catalogs
Use the Partition pane and the Catalogs pane to assign a catalog to each
partition.
1. Choose a partition by clicking on its name in the Partitions pane.
2. Assign a catalog to the partition by double-clicking on a catalog in the
list shown in the Catalogs pane.
3. Repeat Steps 1 and 2 to assign catalogs to all partitions.
