Offline activation
If the system is not connected to the Internet, you must activate licenses offline once you have added your
devices.
To do this, go to File > Activate License
Offline. Follow the instructions in the dialog.
First, save an .lrq (license request) file on
your computer.
Then, log into the Milestone Software
Registration Center via MyMilestone on
Select Upload License Request, browse to
find your saved .lrq file, click to upload the .lrq
file, and click on the email icon to receive the
updated .lic file via email.
Finally, import the new .lic to your system by
clicking the “Browse” button on the dialog, and click on
the “Activate” button. Your Milestone VMS is now
successfully licensed.
