Important Safety Rules
Slide Hammer Dent Puller Parts
1. Do not use on severely degraded or rusted panels or panels that have body filler.
2. Never strike any part of dent puller with hammer or other tools.
3. Do not use any other device to increase leverage of dent puller.
Using Dent Puller
Use the Metal Pulling Screw or the Pierce Punch to pull dents
from the middle of body panels, hood, doors, roof, and trunk.
The Metal Pulling Screw requires a pilot hole to be drilled.
DENT PULLING TIPS
Use the Pulling Hooks to pull bent or crushed frame or chassis
members. The Pulling Hooks can be inserted into a bolt hole or
hook around bent areas and can also be used to remove
damaged chassis, suspension or other parts from vehicle.
Use the L-Puller or the Plate Edge Puller to pull dents from edges
or corners of body panels or frame members. L-Puller and Plate
Edge Puller can also be used to remove damaged chassis,
suspension or other parts from vehicle.
Before pulling a dent it may be beneficial to remove parts such as trim, plastic guards,
mirrors, etc. from the dented area. When pulling dents from body panels use adequate
lighting and observe the dented area from different angles to determine the best place to
connect the dent puller. The most effective area is usually the deepest part of the dent.
Some dents may require pulling in several different areas. After the dent is successfully
pulled, small imperfections and pilot holes drilled for pulling can be repaired with a thin
coat of body filler. Sand filler to desired contour and finish with proper primer and paint.
