these	in	their	entirety	before	switching	on	this	pump. If	you	are	uncertain	as	to	any	of	these	Installation	and	Operating
Instructions	please	contact	your	Davey	dealer	or	the	appropriate	Davey	office	as	listed	on	the	back	of	this	document.
Location
The	pump	must	be	protected	from	the	weather.	If	it	is	to	be	located	outside,	a	weatherproof	shelter	must	be	put	over	the
pump	and	motor.	This	shelter	must	have	ventilation	to	allow	the	motor	to	draw	in	air	for	cooling,	and	adequate	space,	so
as	not	to	restrict	the	flow	of	air	to	the	motor.	The	shelter	should	be	readily	removable	for	access	to	the	pump	at	a	later
date.	Locate	the	pump	as	close	as	possible	to	the	liquid	to	be	pumped.	Provision	is	made	in	the	base	of	the	pump	for
bolting	down,	and	it	is	recommended	that	the	pump	be	permanently	secured,	particularly	for	dairy	and	piggery	use.
