INSTRUCTIONS
Your hydrant has been carefully packaged at
the factory to prevent damage during shipping.
However, occasional damage may occur due to rough
handling. Carefully inspect your hydrant for damages
that could cause failures. Report any damage to your
carrier or your point of purchase.
Please read these
instructions carefully.

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Select a yard hydrant with a bury depth
1 foot below the maximum frost level.
2. Dig a 2 foot hole, 2 feet deeper than
the bury depth.
3. Set the yard hydrant on a firm base,
such as concrete or cement block.
4. Connect to your water line.
5. Place 2 cubic feet of coarse gravel
around the yard hydrant. Backfill
remainder of the hole.
6. Lift the handle. The plunger opens the
water supply valve at the base of the
hydrant, and seals off the drain hole.
7. Close the handle. The plunger closes the
water supply valve at the base of the
hydrant and opens the drain hole. The
water in the hydrant’s pipe is drained into
gravel. This prevent from freezing.
