Building with the Adobe PDF Library and DLI

There are some platform-specific considerations that should be made when building and linking to the

Adobe PDF Library and DLI. For more information regarding how to compile and link to the Adobe

PDF Library, please see the Adobe PDF Library Overview manual. Notes on some specific platforms

follow below.

I B M A I X

Adobe PDF Library v6.1.1Plus for IBM AIX is distributed only in dynamic-library form.

When building with the Library:

• Using either GCC or the XL C/C++ compiler in multithreaded mode to drive the linker is highly

recommended; ld is not.

• The

libstdc++

and

libgcc

are usually included in the shared libraries. Check with your Datalogics

Support representative if you need them and cannot find them in your release.

• The

LIBPATH

must be set for the resulting executables to locate all APDFL and DLI dynamic libraries

(if necessary).
