Basic safety precautions should always be followed when using electrical
appliances, including the following:
1. Read all instructions before using the appliance.
2. Before connecting the kettle to a power supply, check that the voltage of
the appliance (120V) corresponds with the voltage in your home.
3. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs. The glass carafe becomes
extremely hot.
4. Operate the kettle on a heat-resistant, flat surface out of the reach of small
children.
5. To prevent electrical hazards, do not immerse cord, plug or kettle in water or
any other liquid. See instructions for cleaning.
6. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is near children. Children
are not intended to operate this appliance.
7. Always unplug appliance from outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
Allow to cool before cleaning and handling.
8. Do not operate the appliance without water. Should it be operated without
water, the boil-dry protection will shut the power off automatically. Allow the
kettle to cool before refilling.
9. Do not operate appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the
appliance malfunctions or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Contact
Aroma customer service for examination, repair or electrical/mechanical
adjustment.
10. Do not use the base for other than its intended use.
11. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance
manufacturer may cause injuries.
12. Do not use outdoors.
13. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot surfaces.
14. Do not place kettle on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated
oven.
15. To disconnect, turn any control to the “Off” position, then remove the plug.
