Telephone Feature Setup—Base

Make sure the phone is off.

Press
***. The base sounds a tone, and the POWER and
LINE IN USE lights flash.

Follow the directions for each feature as described in
“Base Features.”

# to save the selected setting and exit

Ringer Melody
Press
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 to select a ringer. You will
hear a sample of the ringer when you press the button.
Dial Mode
Set the base to match the kind of dialing service you
have—touch tone or dial pulse (rotary). Press
7 to
change the dial mode. When set to TONE the LINE IN
USE light goes on (during setup only); when set to
PULSE, the LINE IN USE light goes off.
Ringer Volume
Press VOLUME
+ or - until you hear the volume
level you want. To turn the base ringer off, press
VOLUME
- until no ringer is heard.
