b) Connect an ohm meter (100k ran ge) between "100k -1" and
"100k-2".
c) The meter should read 0 ohms.
d) Mo ve the slider gradually to th e right and observe the
ohmmeter.
e) The reading on the meter should increase from 0 to 100k ohms
i n proportion to the movement of the slide r.
f) Mo ve the ohmmeter lead from "100k -2" to "100k -3" an d check
for appro ximately 1 00k ohms.
8. BNC Connecto rs (BNC -1 & BNC -2)
(BNC-1 )
a) Check for continuity between "BNC -l-" and the metal shell of
BNC-1.
b) Check for continuity between "BNC -1+" and the center p in of
BNC-1.
c) Check for an open circuit between "BNC -1-" and "BNC -1 +".
(BNC-2 )
a) Check for continuity between "BNC -2-" and the metal she ll of
BNC-2.
b) Check for continuity between "BNC -2+" and the center p in of
BNC-2.
c) Check for an open circuit between "BNC -2-" and "BNC -2 +".
