4 • Securing Fan to Secondary Support System
4-1. Loosen the two nuts on the wire clamp. Slide the clamp open.
4-2. Insert the end of the braided cable through the ceiling plate and
one of the holes in the outlet box into the ceiling.
4-3. Access the support brace in the ceiling. You may not be able to do
this from below the ceiling, depending on your installation site.
4-4. Thread the end of the cable up through the wire clamp.
4-5. Wrap the braided cable around the support brace once, creating a
complete circle. Thread the end of the cable through the bottom
of the clamp again so the excess cable hangs out the top.
4-6. Close the clamp by securely tightening the nuts.
4-7. Coil up the excess cable.
4-8. Return to the fan so you can complete the fan wiring.
