Operation
Prepare the dough first (see below), the waffle dough must be allowed to
stand for several hours before it is suitable for use.
Lift the lid and lightly grease both waffle plates with a brush or a lint-free
piece of cloth, you may use butter, margarine or oil for this purpose. Do not
apply too much fat; otherwise the waffles will taste of fat.
Plug the appliance cord into the electrical output, the green light of the
appliance will come on to signal it has turned on
Adjust the temperature dial accordingly the green light will then go off and
the red light will come on. This will signal that the waffle maker is heating.
Once the waffle maker has reached the correct temperature the red light will
go off and the green light will once again come on.
Lift the lid by the handle and pour the dough onto the bottom waffle plate,
using a spoon, do not overfill with dough; the dough expands during baking
(if you overfill, the dough will ooze out from the unit during preparation).
The waffles are baked to golden after about three minutes (depending upon
the temperature setting and dough recipe).
Lift the lid by the handle. Caution; parts of the unit will become very hot
during operation, only touch the unit by the handle.
To lift the waffle from the bottom plate, only use a plastic or wooden spoon,
do not use any metallic or sharp-edged tools under any circumstances; they
could damage the non-stick coating of the waffle plates.
You can now make the next waffle (for easy removal, it is recommended to
grease the plates each time before use, but it is not necessary)
Caution: the unit becomes hot during use, do not touch the waffle plates and
always use the handles. Unplug the appliance from the mains once you have
finished using it.
