Gross contamination at the
diaphragm Brush off carefully using a soft toothbrush
under running water
Contamination at the
membrane Rinse the electrode with water, then wipe it
with a moist paper towel (do not rub)
Fats, oils, protein-containing
coatings and similar
substances Remove with household washing-up liquid
