3.2.1
Using the OS shut down function
If you are using Windows
®
2000/2003 Server:
1. Click Start then click Shut Down.
2. Select Shut Down from the What do you want the computer to do? list
box.
3. Select Shutdown Event Tracker.
4. Ensure that the Planned check box is checked.
5. Select shutdown from the list box.
6. If necessary, key in comments.
7. Click OK.

Using the dual function power switch
While the system is ON, pressing the power switch for less than four seconds puts
the system to sleep mode or to soft-off mode, depending on the BIOS setting.
Pressing the power switch for more than four seconds lets the system enter the
soft-off mode regardless of the BIOS setting. Refer to section 4.6 Power Menu in
Chapter 4 for details.
