Optical drive cover thickness and length
The thickness of the optical drive front panel cover should be less than or
equal to 7 millimeters and the length of the drive should be less than or
equal to 208 millimeters.
Installing a new optical drive
To install a new optical drive:
1. Lay the storage drive assembly
on its top on a flat surface.
2. Insert the optical drive to the
5.25-inch bay until the screw
holes align.
3. Secure the optical drive with two
screws on both sides of the bay.
4. Connect a 4-pin (female) power
plug from the power supply unit
to the power connector at the
back of the optical drive.
