Abstract
During time and essentially driven by various German Railways (DB) projects (Service
centers, Controlling districts, GSM-R etc.), there have been emerged telecommunikation
systems, not rarely based on a combination of sub-systems.
To give an example, within the ART project, station inspectors workplace is interconnected to
the GSM-R network of German Railways by a separate control panel. The control panel has
been installed in parallel to the existing telecommunication console within station
inspectors workspace.
By combining Telco - DVS-21 and DICORA, operation can be accomplished with a single
user interface.
The essential benefit of the Telecommunikation system Telco - DVS-21 is it’s scalability.
The system design is well suited to establish
- cost-saving local track small systems, with or without GSM-R interconnection
- medium to large systems with GSM-R interconnection.
Thus, both existing equipment can be integrated and future system expansion is
accounted for (Safety of investment).
System design, Integration ability:
The DICORA interface is completely integrated into the communication system DVS-21.
Thereby, the DICORA can access all the DVS-21 system benefits like:
- Public address according to DB service level 1
- DVS-21 system call stations
- DVS-21 System interfaces
- versatile interfaces to communication and transmission systems
The System design chosen allows for building up complete new communication systems
as well as partial new communication systems that may contain existing equipment.
