A check valve is built into the handshower outlet to prevent back siphonage.
This unit is not anti-scald. If anti-scald capability is required by local plumbing code, install with a
remote pressure balancing valve, such as Hansgrohe 13418181.
*Please know and follow all applicable local plumbing codes when setting the temperature on the water heater. In Massachusetts, the water heater
may be set no higher than 11 o F.

Roughing-in
Install 1/” NPT female fittings, recessed 3/8” behind the finished wall for the hot and cold water
supplies. The hot and cold supplies should be between 5 1/4” - 6 1/” apart on center.
Finish and seal the wall.
Flush the supply lines thoroughly of debris before installing the mixer. Damage to the mixer
caused by debris in the water line is not covered under the Hansgrohe warranty.
